The Association of Victorian Country Harness Racing Clubs (AVCHRC) has advised that CEO David Brick will depart the AVCHRC to take a role at Queensland Racing.

David has served as CEO for five years and been involved in Victorian harness racing since leaving university 15 years ago.

David has been a great advocate for country clubs and the industry and has developed many close friendships within the Victorian trots network.

HRV CEO David Martin said that, “On behalf of HRV and I’m sure all clubs, we wish David and his family all the very best. I want to thank David for all that he has contributed to Victorian harness racing.”

Brick said that, “I’d like to pass on my appreciation to the Victorian trots community for the opportunity and friendships, in particular the AVCHRC led by Paul James, clubs and HRV. I wish all involved the very best in their quest for a winner and welcome all Victorians to sunny Queensland anytime!”

The AVCHRC is in the process of appointing a new CEO and Toby McKinnon will act as CEO in the interim. Toby is on the AVCHRC Executive and is the Operations Coordinator at Yarra Valley Racing.
