Yarra Valley: Race 8 @ 4.50pm
AL SHAMEEL impressed last time when he was blocked for a run near the turn but powered away to win by almost 4L. The extra 100m will cause no problems based on that effort and this doesn't look any harder. ZENITHAL is working his way back up in trip so the extra 350m may suit him better. Drawn to get a good run in transit from the rails draw. ROMANZE led throughout to win when resuming and should be fitter second up. SELECTIONS: Win bet #1 Al Shameel - he looks hard to beat off a big win last time from #2 and #11.

Tatura: Race 7 @4.25pm
Can't see any speed at all here. POLAR VORTEX went forward last run and it worked to his advantage. That was also over the mile and if anything should be more suited in this down in weight. Happy to stick with him. MA JONES has been running some good races and goes well for Dean Yendall. Her best form is good enough for this. LIFE OF REILLY is dropping back in journey today. He has no weight after the claim. SELECTIONS: Backing #4 Polar Vortex to win from #2 and #3.
Albury: Race 8 @ 5:20pm
SNOWBROOK makes her debut for Danny Williams after departing both Norm Gardner and more recently David Payne. Should find this easier than Randwick and does possess good ability when right. Looks particularly well suited in this line up after the key scratching of Big Spender. THE FLASH ONE is always around the money. SELECTIONS: Going with #10 Snowbrook to round out proceedings from #5.
Port Lincoln: Race 7 @ 5.10pm (AEDT)
ROOBOY wasn't disgraced in the Port Lincoln Cup last start when he worked home over this trip to only be beaten a couple of lengths. Had won here before that and he may be able to go forward and control it this time from gate one. EYE THE WORLD did a good job to finish runner up in the Port Lincoln Cup and had been close up behind Rooboy before that. Those form lines mean he should be in the finish again. SPALDING COVE has been around the mark in the same races and can be competitive again. SELECTIONS: Win bet #3 Rooboy - the rails draw favours him this time from #2 and #7.
Bunbury: Race 7 @ 7:15pm (AEDT)
QUILISTA notched up the hat-trick at Ascot last start when easily justifying her heavy market support. Clearly back in great order and is sure to appreciate the step up in trip. Rates clear off the back of her last start win and given she remains open to further improvement, she looks to set a decent standard with the Wizard sticking aboard. VARIATION went to the paddock in great form having proven too strong in the Group 2 W.A. Guineas. Although likely to be better over further he is more than capable of sprinting well fresh and looms as a major threat with Damian Lane aboard. WRINKLY showed good improvement when winning last start and appears the next in line from the favourable draw. SELECTIONS: Very keen on #8 Quilista from #1.
